Dreamforce Exhibitors Rave about Lanyon's Lead Retrieval with Salesforce Integration

As a Bay Area native, I’ve always heard about Dreamforce and its takeover of downtown San Francisco, but this year was my first time actually participating at the event. With over 170,000 registrants and 500 exhibitors, it was also a great opportunity to see our lead retrieval with Salesforce integration at work.
(full disclosure – Lanyon was a silver sponsor and provided onsite event technology for Dreamforce)

"Lanyon's innovative and cutting-edge event management software allowed CipherCloud to seamlessly scan leads at this year's Dreamforce conference in San Francisco. With their easy-to-use device and badge-tapping capabilities, the lead retrieval unit translated into maximum ROI for CipherCloud as we were able to leverage our sales and marketing capabilities at the show."

Audrey Lin, Marketing Manager for CipherCloud

Launched earlier this year, Lanyon’s Exhibitor Salesforce integration feature allows exhibitors to quickly identify, qualify and contact hot event leads. Once an exhibitor scans an attendee badge, that lead is immediately available in the exhibitor’s own Salesforce instance for faster follow up and nurture.

You no longer have to take business cards back to the office or manually create lead records in your CRM system. Scanned sales leads are automatically added to a designated campaign with a specific status, helping your team identify the hottest leads from the show floor.

"Our team collected 10x more leads at Dreamforce due to the ease of use of Lanyon's lead retrieval devices.  In the past, the scanners we used would fail to scan or took too long to capture the prospect information.  With Lanyon it took seconds and the ability to integrate our leads to our salesforce.com instance was a huge bonus!"

Michelle Johnson, Head of Salesforce Alliance, PandaDoc

I had the opportunity to speak with a few exhibitors, who discussed the benefits of Lanyon’s lead scanning and Salesforce syncing in their own words:

mediafly Focuses on Quality Conversations

By using Lanyon’s lead retrieval technology, mediafly’s team was able to swipe badges and instantaneously capture conversation notes while automatically adding leads to Salesforce, which triggered an email to those individuals.

According to Jason Shah, CTO of mediafly, “The benefit for us is we can focus on the conversation we’re having with our clients. We don’t have to spend time messing around with business cards or anything like that. Just swipe and keep the conversation going.”

Cirrus Insight Saves Time on Post-Event Follow Up

For James Buckley of Cirrus Insight, Lanyon’s lead retrieval devices helped his team to quickly capture contact information on the show floor.  For him, the Exhibitor Salesforce integration will save his team time during the post-event follow up process.

“We don’t have to manually go in and create that record. …  And I think that’s probably the most important part is saving that time to create those records individually.”

The Best Tool for ebsta

When I asked the fun-loving ebsta team about Lanyon’s lead retrieval devices, they exclaimed:

  • “It’s definitely the best tool that we use for capturing leads.”
  • “It’s so sleek, so low-key. It works phenomenally.”
  • “We love it. It’s a great piece of kit.”
