Downtown Dallas is becoming a destination site for local tech companies as well as California transplants. Last year, sister companies San Diego software firm Active Network and former Las Colinas-based Lanyon — both part of Vista Equity Partners’ portfolio — relocated to 717 N. Harwood Street, a building undergoing major renovations, in a deal valued at $2 million.
“These guys were a perfect fit for downtown,” said Hammond Perot, assistant director of business services at Dallas Economic Development. “They have a younger-age workforce so they fit right in with the downtown area and that vibe.”
