With the national corporate travel marketplace projected to hit $310 billion by the end of 2015 and opportunities of the greater meetings and events industry estimated to be over $500 billion, it's no surprise sharing economy startups like Airbnb and Uber are starting to target corporate travel dollars.
As traction with this group gains, travel and meetings management professionals are being forced to reevaluate their "old school" management models and think about how they can adapt policies and processes to not only play nicely with these startups but benefit from them as well.
