Dreamforce, the legendary Salesforce user conference, drew more than 172,000 registered participants to its headquarters city in September (plus some 11 million online viewers). “We took over San Francisco, including a cruise ship we christened the Dreamboat,” says Elizabeth Pinkham, who leads the planning for Dreamforce, the largest technology user conference in the world.
Pinkham, Salesforce’s senior vice president, strategic events & executive briefing centers, recently discussed this huge undertaking at Lanyon Live, a user conference for clients of cloud-based meeting software provider Lanyon.
Held in Lanyon’s hometown of Dallas in late October, the inaugural Lanyon Live brought hundreds of clients, Lanyon representatives and executives, and meetings industry leaders together for high-level discussions as well as tactical breakouts focused on best practices.
